PhD in Law; Associate Professor and Associate Dean at School of Law, Xi’an Jiaotong University. Dr. DING mainly focuses on legal sociology and jurisprudence. He has published two monographs, namely, Qinyao Tribunal: The Practical Logic of Chinese Basic People’s Courts (Beijing: SDX Joint Publishing Company, 2014) and Simple Governance of Complex Society (Shandong People’s Publishing House, 2009). He was a visiting scholar at the Institute of East Asian Studies, University of California, Berkeley in 2009, and worked on secondment as a member of the Party Group and Deputy Attorney General of the People’s Procuratorate of Lintong District, Xi’an from 2013 to 2014.
