Abstract: From the view point of the theory of legislation, the law is a product of language, the wording of legal norm decides the quality of the law, and even affects the rule of law directly. Due to the insistence of the principle of legality, the criminal law has many special requirements in the wording, for example, it more emphasizes its own definiteness, more pays attention to substantive legitimacy from the meaning of the wording, and more pursues the integrality of the norm which embodies the principle of equality. On another hand, to strength the operability of criminal rules, the wording of criminal rules should also keep a balanced relationship and support some convenience for the application of law. These requirements of the principle of rule of law.
