The 2017 annual meeting of the energy law society of Shaanxi law society was held successfully at Xi'an Jiaotong University on July 7. Jia Yihua, director of the humanities and social sciences department of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Wang Baomin, vice dean of School of Law, attended the meeting. Thirty representatives from 11 units, including Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwest University, Northwest A＆F university, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Shaanxi high people's court and Shaanxi qixin law firm, attended the meeting.
The meeting opened briefly. Director Jia Yihua delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. She warmly welcomed all experts, scholars and colleagues from the field of practice to attend the conference at Xi'an Jiaotong University. She believes that since the establishment of the energy law society of Shaanxi law society four years ago, it has undertaken many research projects, carried out several legislative and legal publicity activities, achieved great results, formed a standardized development model, and played the role of academic think tank. The director hoped that based on relevant national energy policies and laws, the energy law society would continue to offer advice for the development of the energy industry, and said that Xi'an Jiaotong University would do its utmost to support the development of the institute.
Professor Wang Baomin delivered a speech. He pointed out that after the implementation of the 13th five-year plan, new requirements and expectations generated for energy development, and the energy industry has ushered in good opportunities for development. The meeting was a good response to the planning requirements. Professor Hu Desheng's team has been devoted to the study of energy law, and has made great achievements in talent cultivation and social practice, also made significant contributions to the development of law school. He hopes that the institute will continue to work hard and that the law school will continue to support it. Professor Hu Desheng, President of the association, gave a speech. On behalf of the energy law society, he thanked the leaders of humanities and social science department and law school of Xi'an Jiaotong University for their presence and guidance, and discussed the development of energy law from three aspects.
The discussion divided into four stages. The first two stages were presided over by Zeng Jia, associate dean of Northwest University school of law, and Zhang Zhongchao, professor of Northwest A＆F university. The second two stages were presided over by Zhang Bing, associate professor of Xi'an Jiaotong University.
After the discussion of the academic report in the afternoon, the closing ceremony of the annual meeting held. In line with the purpose of cultivating young students' interest in energy law research, the conference selected the papers of Ma Xiaopu, Chang Yachen, Tang Yawen and other 9 students from the contributions of young authors as excellent conference papers and awarded certificates. President professor Hu Desheng gave his closing speech. He believed that the annual meeting had achieved the expected goal and achieved a complete success. The energy law research institute of Shaanxi law society will take the 13th five-year plan as an opportunity, continue to organize colleagues in energy law, constantly expand the research perspective, expand the research field, apply new research methods, and solve the doubts, difficulties and new topics in the energy policy and law field.
