Speaker:Professor Yutaka Arai
Yutaka Arai is a Professor of international human rights law, Univ. of Kent, Brussels, Belgium. Yutaka bypassed the mandatory fourth undergraduate year to obtain his LLM (public law) at Keio Univ. in 1993. He obtained LLM (int'l law) and PhD at Univ. of Cambridge in 1998. He has published two monographs and more than fifty papers on human rights law, international law and legal theories in peer-reviewed journals. Yutaka has been invited as an expert at various UN and ICRC expert meetings. He is fluent in Japanese, English and French, while reading German and Spanish.
